Join us for Fade to Black History Movie Night on February 28!

As part of our recognition of Black History Month, all DCI families are invited to join us at the W.G. Pearson Center on Monday evening, February 28 for a community viewing of “The Best of Enemies.” This important movie explores some of Durham’s own history as it tells the true story of the unlikely relationship between Ann Atwater, an outspoken civil rights activist, and C.P. Ellis, a local Ku Klux Klan leader. During the racially charged summer of 1971, Atwater and Ellis come together to co-chair a community summit on the desegregation of schools in Durham.

Join us from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, February 28. Free food and drinks will be provided, and numbers will be capped to the first 125 registrants in order to allow for safe distancing. Click here or visit the site below to sign up for this exciting event.
