Darryl joined DCI in 2016 as an Americorp Vista Fellow and, after 2 years, was hired as a Family Advocate. He is proud to have assisted in creating the STEAM and Summer Lunch Programs at DCI. In his position as Youth Coach, he looks forward to helping students attain greatness through academics. Darryl earned an Associate in Arts degree from Durham Technical College and is currently working to earn his bachelor’s degree in Behavior and Social Sciences at North Carolina Central University.   

Darryl practices self-care through his belief in prayer and spending quality time with family. He feels blessed to work in a career that he loves, while having the opportunity to complete his degree.
