There are many ways to help out at DCI! Sign up to volunteer by clicking the link at right, or click the images below to learn more about our programs.
Please note that DCI may conduct a background check of volunteers in accordance with our child safeguarding policy.
Volunteer activities include: assisting students with accountability and support in applying for college, applying for financial aid, finding and applying for scholarships, researching and applying to colleges, college tours, post-secondary planning, writing essays, letters of recommendation
Volunteer activities include: garden bed construction; planting and tending to vegetable gardens; interacting with DCI families; and learning gardening best practices.
Volunteer activities include: On Saturdays—helping to set up and clean up; sort, carry, and put away groceries; work at food stations; and engage with community members. On third Tuesdays of the month—unloading and sorting shipments of goods.
Volunteer activities include: Set-up, checking families in (using mobile app- socially distanced), loading supplies into vehicles, and cleaning up.
Volunteer activities include: shopping for gifts; setting up and decorating DCI's office; sorting toys; helping parents shop through gift rooms; assisting with sign-in, gift wrapping, and refreshments.
Volunteer activities include: assisting with classroom management; serving breakfast and lunch; leading games and activities; attending field trips.
Volunteer activities include: reading aloud in English and Spanish; facilitating craft projects; assisting with songs and snacks.
Volunteer Activities Include: meeting with a student once per week for one hour to tutor in a subject specified by the student.
